We design and deliver evidence based programs: Learn more about the health and learning benefits of Dancing in the Early Years.

Preschoolers should be physically active for at least 3 hours per day, with at least one of those hours being ‘energetic play’ which includes Dancing (Australian Government)

Physical movement coupled with novel pretend imagery can help with attention, speed, retention, and enjoyment of learning (Sacha & Ross, 2006)

Dance is a feasible alternative to traditional physical activity and dance provides physiological and psychological benefits to healthy and medically compromised children and youth populations (Tao. D et al 2022).

Movement and music experiences integrated within a preschool curriculum can also reinforce math and logic concepts through rhythm and patterns of beat and tempo (Shilling, 2002).

Physical activity provides young children physical and mental health benefits and delivers preventative effects for chronic disease (WHO, 2020).

In young people, dance appears to be superior to other exercise in lessening the impact of somatization.  (Yan, et al 2024).

Dance movement has been demonstrated to improve children’s life functioning, duration of sleep, emotional and behavioural difficulties when used in a therapeutic contexts in children (Moula et al, 2022)

A preschool movement through dance program is a way to open the door to numerous benefits and opportunities. Creating new contexts for learning enrich young children and offer them different opportunities to understand and negotiate the world (Lorenzo-Lasa et al 2007)
